Did you know...that as of March 31, 2019, both Success by 6 and Children First ceased to exist as funding initiatives?

MCFD has redirected funding from Success by 6 and Children First into programs and services that directly support families – including parent support, family education, early childhood development programming, and Indigenous culture and language programs. This funding will be reallocated via MCFD regional offices and will be provided to agencies and services in our communities.

The Family Friendly Coalition would like to thank all of our community partners for all the amazing years of collaboration and community programs that has been provided from these initiatives. We would also like to say a BIG thank-you to all the families that came out to these programs and events!

Sincerely,
Heather McBryan

It helps ensure that children ages 0-6 develop the emotional, social, cognitiive and physical skills they need as they enter school. Our committee is a community based partnership made up of Not for Profits, that meet once a month. Our vision is connect families to their neighbourhood, so they can build relationships and create a network in which will support their children.
