Alison Newth is a local artist, living and working in FSJ, BC. Since 2014, she has been a proud member of the Flying Colours Artists Association, a group of inspiring and encouraging local artists whose excitement for art is contagious.
Here's a little about us that you may not know. We've enjoyed art our entire lives, even at times when things were so hectic that we avoided art we could never stop seeing the world in vivid surreal colours or imagining our day to day travels as scenes in a Saturday morning comic strip.
Originally built by businessman C.C. Brooks, The Lido opened in 1957, ushering in 45 years of classic films up on the big screen. This was until 2002 when the doors of The Lido were closed and the new Landmark Cinema was opened in town.
The North Peace Cultural Centre opened its doors in June of 1992 and has been the centre of the Arts & Cultural Community since. With its unique lobby and concourse that stretches literally for a city block, it has acquired a "Mall of the Arts" reputation.
